eduroam Wireless Service at East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust

As defined on the Janet Roaming website, the JANET Roaming Service (JRS) allows visitors from any participating organisation to use the credentials provided by their Home organisation to gain network access to the eduroam network at the visited organisation.  We operate both the visited and home eduroam services.

Additional information on the EMR can be found on the EMR website. Technical details required to make use of JRS within EMR are shown below:

• Users requiring support should contact their own organisation IT support staff for assistance.

• Users shall follow the Trusts Acceptable Use Policy

• Users shall adhere to the JANET acceptable use policy.

• Users shall adhere to the eduroam roaming policy.

• Users shall make sure that they keep Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware software up to date on their clients, using the facilities provided by their own IT support.

• Users shall adhere to the Acceptable Use Policy of their own organisation.

• Users shall not attempt to make use of P2P software.
